Some random comments about tonight’s TV shows:

Jericho:

Is it wrong that the main thing that excited me about this episode was the introduction of the Indian doctor? I hope he stays on as a recurring character.

Anyway, we learned a little about Jake’s past as a soldier-for-hire. It fits his character nicely.

We also learned that Eric is going to be a father. I feel bad for April, and don't find Eric sympathetic at all.

One of the interesting dynamics on the show is Robert and his daughter. She's turning out to be a mirror of her father. I can't help but find the Hawkins family incredibly intriguing. And I was rooting for him to pull the wool over that ass Gray's eyes.

Criminal Minds:

This has fast become one of my three favorite shows. I love all the characters (though I’m still lukewarm with JJ). Tonight’s episode was gold.

First of all, Reid was thirty kinds of adorable. He’s a sci-fi nerd (did we ever think otherwise), and he turns into a bit of a fanboy when he meets the author of a childhood favorite sci-fi book.

Morgan was once again steamy hot. I love that he wouldn't leave the woman alone with the bomb.

The Reid/Morgan shipper in me squeed a little when Reid expressed concern about Morgan, and again when we found out he told Morgan what Gideon said about him.

Reid and JJ playing cards was a cute scene. "Dr. Reid let you win." Oh right, Reid. She kicked your ass. And she won't go to Comic-Con with him. Aw.

Are they going to replace Elle? I thought they were.

CSI: NY:

Mac/Flack tension! Hold me back!

This was actually a pretty good episode. I enjoyed the uneasiness between Mac and Flack. Poor Don didn't want to believe one of his men could be guilty, and when he realized the truth, he still wanted to protect the reputation of the department.

The Big Reveal at the end that Reed was Claire's son was good, but not good. Does that make sense? Gary Sinise did sell me on Mac's desire to make a connection with Reed so he'd have something left of Claire. But on the other hand, I can just see the kid showing up at the center of a drug bust or something predictable like that.

At least they didn't make Stella a damsel-in-distress this time. I still think it's weird that she shrank back and let Danny and Mac confront the kid. Where is the spunky, kick-ass Stella?

I like Sid.

The crazy alien-hunter was so possible in real life that it was funny and sad at the same time.
