Happy Day!
Everyone, celebrate with me! Drink a toast with the beverage of your choice, be it wine, beer, gin, vodka, coffee, milk, water, coke or whatever! i am writing this post on my laptop! Yes, I'm back to my own computer. i'm just finishing the last little details. Setting up the outlook rules again as email comes in. Changed the windows start and end sounds to my favorite, the Cable car sound, changed my incoming email sound to the Star trek ship whistle. LOL. Got my twitter client installed. Got my internet home page tabs set up. i'm listening to a play list with winamp. i've played my favorite accessible solitaire game, Penguin Solitaire from spoonbill games. I organized my internet favorites, combining the ones I saved from my friends computer, organizing similar things into folders, such as Harry Potter fan fiction, writing resources, things like that. Starting to put my address book in outlook together.
A kind of surprising weird thing is that even though we installed outlook 2000--can't find my 2003 box--when I checked options, all my auto signatures were still there. That tells me that maybe other outlook things were saved, but i don't know how to find them. it would be so nice if I didn't have to recreate my entire outlook address book and all the rules I had set up for mail filtering. There are several little things still to configure, but for the most part, it's all safe and sound, and i'm so happy to have my own computer again. i've missed my Pensieve.
