and just gah, all of Gaius and Laura's scenes are wonderful. <3AREN'T THEY THOUGH? The detention center scene on New Caprica is my favorite between them ever, I can just go on and on about it. Yesss exactly, I love the way they are interlocked, clinging to each other, just as they are on the show on a metaphorical and literal level (most of the time in the early seasons at least). And the differences in the grips, with hers much more proprietary and dominant, as appropriate...this show has such good promo shots! (It's nice when you get free official fanart, more or less...:p)
I feel like I need to meta one of these days about Baltar's arc in S4, because I actually enjoy the cult stuff a lot, although his role in it is kind of uneven and I understand why people feel it was wasted time.I'd be interested in reading that! Bless you BSG for this beautiful ship symmetry I didn't even know I wanted.Yeah, I was kind of surprised to see so much virulent hate for Daybreak (or the last two parts at least), because the ending gave me allll the feelings, and still does even though I realize some of the flaws and plotholes now (it's kind of like "Chosen" in BTVS for me--I realize it's flawed but SO MANY FEELS). With the final scene I was mostly just confused...but yes, it was nice to see the suave Head!Six and Head!Gaius once more snarking ( ... )

Ok cool, thanks for explaining...while I felt exasperated about him saying he had NO guilt NOW (though I liked him admitting his earlier guilt at least), I did love the scene as a whole because OMG BALTAR VS. ROSLIN EPICNESS. The climax of their fascinating yet rocky relationship, of her never-ending quest to get him to admit to guilt and find out what really happened. And then when she did save him and he was like, "Thanks, I love living", as seen in your recent picspam on Tumblr...<333 One of the highlights of season 4 for me, the eye-rolling aside.
