I know I'm a bit late to the game (this weekend was really busy with the National Book Festival going on Sat/Sun--more on that later), but I have to take a moment to talk about how effing AMAZING that Supernatural s7 premiere was, and how much it fulfilled almost all my dreams and more....<3__<3
(
I still think you're one of us )
Well I think they realized that he was doing it to fight Raphael, with Eve referencing the power of souls for war machines, etc, and then it's explicitly acknowledged in 6x20, I don't think they were just assuming he was evil now (I mean they said Sam had gone "darkside" before as well in s4, as I recall, also in a case of good intentions gone amuck). Sam did say that he did care for Cas--and "would die for the guy" even if he suspected he was lying about Crowley, so I don't think he was totally dismissing Cas there (and in 6x21 he was giving him the benefit of the doubt over Lisa, so clearly he didn't think Cas was evil, just lying about the Crowley thing). Probably because he recognized the parallels with Ruby, etc.
the irony is not lost on me, lol. i guess Ben is in a weird position too, now... it's Sera's show and there's only so much he can do when the bigger arc of the season has already been decided. :(
True, very true, though obviously he was in charge of how Dean would be written, etc....IDK, IDK, at least the bits beside Cas were pretty good IMO, loved the brother stuff. I do think (and Sera has even said so as well) that the Cas situation is feeding into Dean's truly messed-up and depressed head space and inability to trust anything at the moment...
i saw people talking about it on tumblr. it sounds like Luci to me, but many hear Cas.
Yeah, now after listening to it more and reading other responses I realize it is probably Lucifer, though I still think it sounds a bit like Cas...it's an interesting psychological experiment though! :p
