Day 02 - A show that you wish more people were watching:
When I say I wish more people were watching this show, I really mean people online or that I know IRL who speak Spanish and thus could watch it-in Spain itself, where the show originates, it’s the number 1 show when it airs, so plenty of people apparently watch it there! ;)
Basically though, this is a very fun, cracktastic, intriguing show, full of action and serious eye candy (to quote my roomate in Spain last year, "Men did not walk around looking that sexy back then!" lol), and humor. It is about a 17th century schoolteacher who becomes a secret NINJA when his wife is murdered by a secret society intent on overthrowing the King, as he tries to investigate his wife's murder and help the helpless along the way. He's like Robin Hood and Batman and a TMNT rolled into one, but sexier! And there are some actually gripping intrigues and mysteries as well...The other characters are great as well, especially the hilarious and lovable servant and the badass (and almost laughably sexually over-the-top sometimes) Lucrecia (pictured in my icon).
If you do care to watch, you can easily watch it on the RTVE network website, accessible from anywhere! (It's not blocked regionally like US and UK network videos are!).
This is actually one of the shows from last year that I also still need to catch up on myself...
