i just got my legs waxed. i warn you, DONT DO IT! it hurts sooo intensely. the woman thought i was SO funny. You may think its strange that im in africa and waxing my legs. why did i do it? you see, i hadnt shaved for 2 and 1/2 weeks. gross, i know. Before i got here, kiersten got hers waxed and recommended it-remind me to hit her- so i decided to try it. Also, its only $10 here. so I said why not. First, courtney, winter and I went and got massages at the Sheridan hotel. OO THAT WAS NIIICE. full body massages and they are soo cheap. Anyway, then i got waxed and it was not nice.
moving on- we took the girls to the ranch to see the boys for the day. it was so cute. Some of the boys couldnt eat, they were so nervous. When we first got there, kiersten wasnt feeling well so we went to one of the cottages and slept. We woke up 2 hours later and went to one of the leadership sessions. It was in this small room with no windows and i was saturated with sweat. I decided to fan myself with my schedule but due to the lack of deodorant on this continent, everytime i fanned, i got an overwhelming wave of nausea due to the intense smell. kiersten and i were DIEING. we sat through that session, then went outside for lunch. Hayden had just come from kampala and we sat with him. Kiersten and i then went to his cottage to get medicine for her. She fell asleep and Hayden and I talked for like 2 hours. She then woke up and went to see this woman, mariam, whom she promised she would see while we were there. Hayden and I just sat in his cottage until like 6 30 and hung out. Then kiersten came back and we headed back to the girls school on a mutatu- like a Volkswagen van/taxi. all in all it was a good day. i get teased about hayden by my roomies. oh well.
On sunday we woke up at 5 am and went to "morning glory" with the girls. it is basically their own church service. it was SOOO intense. borderline freaky. They were very into it. after that, we went back to our house and slept until 10 30. the rest of the day was super lazy. we just bummed around, watched a movie on cocos lap top and yea, i donno. Im not coming into the city for a while so this will be the last update until some time next week. This weekend (friday-sunday) we are going on a safari!!! I am soo excited. we are going to a place called merchison falls. its gonna be awesome. we will even have running water and a pool. i bought swimmers today! YAY! i am so excited. nothing else to tell really. i donno i love you all! i think i may be here for an extra week?!?! we'll see.
