-- Unloveable by The Smiths
-- Miss Misery by Elliot Smith
-- Hallelujia by Jeff Buckley
-- Wild Horses by the Stones
-- Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own by U2

Let me know if you need me to upload any of these. I'll dig through my collection and see if I can't find anything else.

Placebo ~ Running Up That Hill
Sia ~ Breathe Me
Aimee Mann ~ Wise Up
Kelly Clarkson ~ Irvine
Counting Crows ~ Around Here
Sarah McLaughlin ~ Full of Grace
Annie Lennox ~ Why
Jeff Buckley ~ Halleljuah
Butterfly Boucher ~ A Bitter Song

Someone mentioned the Jeff Buckley cover of Hallelujah upthread, so I uploaded that one, but I have like three different versions, so if you want those instead, let me know.

Hope this helps. :)

I'm not sure if I have any songs simply that depressing( or at least never had a reaction like that to a song), but I do have a lot of depressing/scary/melancholy background music that I'm shuffling through that I'll upload for you if you'd like.

I'm asking because I don't know if you prefer songs with words or not when you write.

lyrics are distracting sometimes, if they are mellow and blend into the background of the music a lot then they are totes cool.
