OP

It is daunting, isn't it?
It's frustrating that I keep prompting all of these great ideas but since they're not straight porn, nobody wants to tackle something with a serious, not sex-related plot.

It won't be easy to pull off, not with the depth of emotional complexity it calls for on Mycroft's part, his guilt and love and devotion to a brother that was never born and who might not even be alive.

At least, that's what I envisioned for Mycroft. In fact, I suppose I prompted with the thought that it would be more Mycroft-centric, but the fill could turn out in any way the writer!anon wants it to.

I also didn't prompt with any pairings in mind, either. I had figured Mycroft to know Lestrade simply because Mycroft, as an Admiral, knows all the best captains of the fleet. It's his job to know what they're capable of and what their names are. Lestrade just happens to be the one Mycroft considers best for the role, but if the writer!anon wants to take that professional relationship further, well, go for it. Plus, why would there be Sherlock/John if we have no confirmation that Sherlock's alive, much less in any mental or physical state to engage in matters of the heart and flesh?

This prompt is not about sex or romantic love, but rather familial obligation and guilt (combined with a heaping dose of WHAT IS BEHIND THAT DOOR DON'T OPEN THAT DOOR OH MY GOD). But, like I've already said, you could include those anyway. If you can make it work. If. I'm a pretty logical person, so porn without full, legitimate reason doesn't have much appeal for me. Same goes for love, outside of tropes that orbit around the concept, like the soul-bonding and sex-pollen.

Damn, I can't reveal too much of my own theories, I don't want to overly influence any fill that comes by. It's the writer's work, not mine after all. I just had the idea. Shit. I'd just write it myself if I had the time, which I don't. Bugger science-track university work.
