Ah the joys of films...
Brilliant.
Absolutely brilliant.
Desperately wish that I could get a ticket for the current West End run *cunning thought* the master carpenter owes me a favour! Oh Rikki....
Clive Merrison is hilariously cringe-worthy as the headmaster. Richard Griffths is outstanding, as are all the cast. It's quite rare to say that every single one of the cast was believable and fantastic. Frances de la Tour, I love you! She's amazing! The actors playing the boys are brilliant as well. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.
I was very sad at the end, but I won't spoil it.
Ten out of Ten!
Whoo!
Just going to settle down to a bit more film watching, well tv series. Due to the Powergen thing I treated myself to series 1 of 'Oz' and one of my all time favourite comedies - series 1 of 'Let them Eat Cake'.
Off to comedy land!
Oh, I'm working on a short drabble where Watson finds out why Holmes gets him to do all the reading aloud.
'Chipper' is such a fantastic word, don't you agree? It's on a par with 'spiffy'. *grin*
Baring no terrible financial disasters, for my hols in March I'm going to get tickets to the following shows:
- The Woman in Black (I'm friends with the deputy so freebie ;-)) -- I saw this in Liverpool a few years ago and was scared to death. I can't wait to see it again!
- The Mousetrap -- saw it when I was ten, and loved it.
- Equus -- Changed mind. Don't really fancy it, it's not a great play and I'd rather see 'They Shoot Horses, Don't They?'. Although if I get a freebie, or an invite to the U/S run then I'll go, but I don't want to pay.
- Little Shop of Horrors -- might get a freebie as my co-worker is desperate to see this and she's close friends with the deputy lx.
- Boeing-Boeing -- looks funny, had great reviews. Also has Roger Allam...
- The History Boys -- *if* I can get a ticket, free or otherwise.
- Spamalot -- Karine has inspired me.
Anyhow...
