This week has been an interesting week, what with the llama-mation an all... I lost a £1 at the beginning of the week in a bet, but soon won it back on Thursday. In a rather geek-y way (although I would like to state that I don't think that I am geek; geeks are often helpful in pub quizzes, I am not.)
My co-worker said that Joan Collins played a green dancing woman in Star Trek, and I told him "NO! She played Edith Keeler in 'City on the Edge of Forever', the green dancing women were only in 'The Cage' and it definitely wasn't Joan Collins!"... the 'argument' (more like creative disagreement, the poor board operator was in hysterics) continued until the interval when with the help of the AV department's computer we settled it one and for all... I won a £1.
Also, the way that one the DSM asks for us as 'Steph and Justin' makes us sound like an 80s duo who specialise in power ballads, you know stuff like 'Real Dead Ringer for Love'.
There's been a challenge issued on the Sarek/Amanda list that not only sounds like fun, but I think could apply to Holmes/Watson. The challenge is: "All of the talk about the possibility of a President and Mr. Hillary Clinton, got me thinking of times we take our spouses along to conferences in our career fields where they are the "second banana' so to speak. Write a story about our favorite couple as Dr. and Mr. Amanda Grayson, no Ambassador Sarek and Lady Amanda."
Watson dragging Holmes along to a medical conference where for once Holmes is not the centre of attention would be incredibly fun! Anyone else in?
