I almost slaughtered Loran yesterday. I am not Joseph, I'm just not. I have no idea how he put up with having to rearrange his entire schedule just to meet the needs of multiple bratty high school girls who weren't going to say "thank you" anyway. And, it's not like Loran's Woodlands friends are even half as entertaining. They're really rather dry, wannabes. And, if I told a joke, I'd have to explain the contents, so I stopped bothering after a while. I couldn't tell if they were disillusioned into believing they were too cool to laugh or simply just too stupid, maybe both.

Michael was kind enough to not only sit through this with me, but actually bring me out to Magnolia High, where I had to pick them up. I would've never found the place, I'm positive of that. He was driving because I was far too afraid to drive through an entire town that I had never even driven through, especially at night, high as a kite. And, these girls kept saying, "Um, look, could you like speed? I have a curfew." UM, LIKE NO, I AM NOT GETTING A TICKET TO MEET YOUR NEEDS. "Um, could you guys like not smoke. I'm allergic. But, you know, if you don't care about my health, just light one up." Mike and I exchanged this classic, devilish look when this girl said this to us. I was so very tempted...and the nicotine headache that began to attack my brain without the cigarette I was itching for would've been nice to have gotten rid of too.

After devoting an hour and a half to this entire ordeal, we went to Market Street. Counting Crows was playing at the Pavillion last night, so Michael brought me to the top of the nearest parking garage where we could perfectly hear them. Oh, it was just so pretty because the weather felt like autumn should feel, and they've always struck me as an autumn-winter band. I wonder how those pictures that Kayla took turned out. He's either doing an incredibly good job of being an awesome friend or trying entirely too hard to get laid. And, please, please, let it be the friendship thing because I don't have the patience to deal with what will come of it from both him and my boyfriend in the event that they'd ever have to see each other.
