I <3 Invader Zim. It makes me laugh, even while I can't stop coughing.

I've had a sore throat/cough since Monday - I figured it was just my body's response to life immediately after exams.
Well . . . now I have bronchitis. And even better, I seem to have reaggravated the
throat injury I had in November. Funny how a week of meeting with students and proctoring exams while constantly coughing will do nasty things to your throat. So yes,
drenilop, the chippy is back. I don't have an icon for an evil chipmunk, so the evil squirrel icon will have to do.
I was really hoping this would go away on its own, but I gave in and went to the doctor this afternoon. Armed with antibiotics, stronger cough medicine, and a short course of steroids, I now plan to spend the weekend in my PJs, talking as little as possible and hopefully getting caught up on some sleep. If things aren't improving by Monday, I may be heading back to the ENT specialist. Yeehaw.
Here's the trick: will the meds help my throat/cough without any nasty GI side effects? That whole area is just beginning to function properly again . . . wouldn't it be nice not to screw that up? The doctor I saw today was really great about giving me options that would have a good chance of fixing what needed to be fixed without causing more problems. We'll see.
Any minute now, the cough medicine with *hopefully* knock me out. Really. That would be lovely.
