The Tea at the End of the World
Today is my birthday. It's not a special birthday (except that I got one more :> ). It's not a day off -- I'm at work here in Junon (and still loving working for the ShinRa military branch!). However, I have cards, flowers, and a *drabble*. ♥ And I'm not even out of work.
My supervisor got me sunflowers, and the bright star of my life took me out to lunch (and it was perfect, too!), and my sweet sunshine sent me roses with a lovely card. And the day is only half over.
I got an email from a coworker that had nothing to do with my birthday and it made me smile like all get-out, first thing in the morning. I've just been so happy with the world....
Now generally speaking, I'm an optimist. I have my up days and my down days, but I average out on the up side of life. I know I'm very lucky that way. But today is especially shiny. So I know what I really want for my birthday.
I want my good birthday karma to spread out and reach you. Anyone who reads this, whenever they do -- I hope something good happens for you today. Whether it's simple as finding a lovely flower in an unexpected place, or as mundane as coming home and finding the dishes done, or as weird as seeing the spitting image of your favorite character walk by and disappear in a crowd, or as nice as finding the place and time to relax guilt-free, or as important as hearing that you're getting the job you so very much wanted....
