did anyone get the license of that truck?

OK so a truck has run back and forth over me several times and is now parked in my throat. Not sore, just left me with minimal speaking voice.

Unfortunately this is a huge red flag for me that signifies unpleasantness on the horizon. Last night I wound up leaving work and managed to drive myself to the hospital where I spent most of the night. I was bad enough to go but this time I didn't quite feel the need for an ambulance. The hospital is approx. 1/2 mile from my workplace and I still had enough of my faculties to drive myself. No, this was not a dumb move on my part and I have extensive experience in knowing my limits and capabilities.

The problem was that Amy was sleeping in my room and did not hear the phone when i called to tell her I going. The answering machine soon filled up with my repeated calls, hoping that she would at least hear it ring. No such luck. I also tried my sister's line, but her cell phone was turned off for the night. Choice 3) I called Nikki to let her know I was in trouble. She kept talking to be until I was able to get myself out of my car and into the ER. Then she also tried to reach Amy. A short time later Amy came out to the living room where our phone is, noticed that it was full, checked the numbers in history and realized that I was in trouble. She called Nikki to find out which ER to go to and was soon by my side.

The loaded me with heavy drugs, multiple mini-neb treatments and by mutual decision I was allowed to go home. I dodged the bullet this time, but I still feel like shit and very weak. Also the massive amount of IV steroids has caused my Diabetes to go "ape-shit" My accu-check blood glucose level just now was 427. Which is dangerously high. I'm going to have to be hyper-vigilant and keep on top of it with frequent insulin coverage.

Steroids were to blame for the brain bleed which nearly cost me the vision in my left eye. That was pure hell and left me with 20/200 vision in the left eye.
Did I mention that my new glasses are fantastic. Look great too!

Anyway, i called my Dr. today to let them know what's going on and will call back tomorrow to arrange to be seen in the next day or so. Also, If my condition worsens or becomes more than I can handle myself, I will go back to the hospital and be admitted.

Have I mentioned that I'm supposed to be going away on vacation next week? Yeah, my timing sucks.

Anyway, rest, rest, rest, fluids, heavy meds, frequent accuchecks, insulin. did I mention rest? Did I also mention that I still have killer MRSA lurking in the deep recesses of my lungs, and probably always will.

Enough for now.

I'm going to bed.
