I think the embattled territory that is the digestive tract is still the heart of darkness in many ways. We only have vague hints of who's down there and what they're doing (David Attenborough voice) "And here... we have Helicobacter digging their way through the stomach wall.. surely one of nature's least considerate animals..." and taking antibiotics is like sending in a bunch of bombers to drop napalm, with the same result on the economy. Little cargo cultists hoping the great Mouth God will eat some more of that stuff we got last week.. that was cool. What the hell is this? You can't expect us to survive on Ding-Dongs, vodka and breath mints! AUX ARMS, CITOYENS! it's duodenal ulcer time!
