Must be a trap.

So I've been speaking to my friend Chloe. We always talk about everything and nothing, and this time our conversation diverged to the things that annoy us about society (definitely not the first time we touch that subject). I mentionned that I hate the fact that it's not socially-acceptable to strike up a conversation with a stranger in a public place.

Her reply: "Isn't it?"

She says it happened to her often, especially in Montreal (she used to live in Saskatoon). I'm having a lot of trouble wrapping my head around that concept! Doesn't doing that automatically label you as a creepy weirdo? Or is that just in the suburbs where I live?

I can't picture myself doing that. What would you say? What if you bother the person in the middle of something?

I'd like to know what you think about that. Did you witness/experience it yourself? Do you actually DO it sometimes?
