slash fic recommendations

ok, anyway, today we're dealing with a very specific genre of writing in the fanfic writing world: slash. for those of you not in the know, i refer you to what the almighty wikipedia says:
Slash fiction is a genre of fan fiction that focuses on the depiction of romantic (and often sexual) relationships between two or more male (or less commonly, female) characters, who may not be engaged in relationships in the canon universe. While the term was originally restricted to stories in which one or more male media characters were involved in an explicit adult relationship as a primary plot element, it is now more generally used to refer to any fan story containing a pairing between male characters. The term is also sometimes applied to fiction focusing on relationships between female characters; however, some fans distinguish femslash as a separate genre.
i originally was not a fan of slash at all, but over time it has grown on me, and now i adore a well-written slash story to death [and sometimes even a badly written slash story. hey, we all gotta have our guilty pleasures, right?] if there are any recommendations that are not listed below that you think should be on here, please let me know and i will promptly add them. :) no harry potter recommendations, please, or i will be forced to beat you with oranges. also, keep in mind that this is in no way comprehensive, but rather some of my personal favorites and a good way to get started on slash stories.
and as a fair warning...the vast majority of the stories listed below have adult content and strong mature themes in them. if that's not your thing, then don't go clicking around. also, if a story i link to is on adultfanfiction.net, then you'll need to click through the appropriate screens [as long as you are of age] but it will take you to the story. don't worry, you don't need to sign up or anything, it's just a precaution.
it is very hard to find well-written and believable slash in the outsiders fandom, and i think one of the main reasons - besides ignorant fanbrats, of course - is that the era that the outsiders is set in still believes that homosexuality is a mental illness and treats it as such. as a result, slash fics need to be a lot more subtle and have a lot more conflict than a slash fic set in, say, today's society. there are fandoms that lend itself to the slash genre very well, and on the flipside there are fandoms that don't lend itself well to the slash genre. the outsiders is one that doesn't. however, in the hands of a good and capable writer, almost anything is possible, and so there are a few bright gems to share with you. for starters, let's look at zevie's "happy birthday, dallas" which is a tim/dally fic. then we have hahukum konn, who has several contributions. one of them - and one of my favorites - "the first with feeling", is technically a rumblefish fic with its steve/rusty pairing, but since it's still an s.e. hinton fandom and - more importantly - this is my blog, so i'll do as i damn well please and post about it. hk also has up "the moth and the flame" which is a soda/dally fic [i love dally's characterization in this fic, it's absolutely brilliant] and "on the wrong side" which is a ponyboy/oc story.
there is a [now-published, apparently] author called sara bell who wrote a wonderful original story called "the magic in your touch". go read it! read it nowes! fosterchild [cyn chains on fictionpress] is also posting her original, slash nano fic, "crossing the line" and i've been thoroughly enthralled with it [though i've gotten a little behind on it. whoops!].
ah, one of my favorite fandoms. :) first off we have a wonderful story called "negotiations" a lovely boromir/legolas fic and "what hurts the most" which is a tear-jerker legolas/aragorn fic, both by the miserable poet. there's also an awesome star wars/lord of the rings crossover fic called "when worlds collide" by darkladyd. she also has several other lotr slashy stories, you'll have to visit her profile to see. :)
and, of course, you knew that there would be some star trek in here, especially considering (a) my love of star trek, and (b) it's pretty much the originator of slash writing. first off we have "the enigma of the mind" a spock/mccoy multi-chapter fic by pamela benedix. a great little one-shot is "summoning the future" by rockabillysaint which involves mirror!spock/kirk. one of my absolute favorites, though, is "he doesn't know" by slash4femme. it's a one-sided spock/mccoy with mccoy pining for spock. they've also written a great fic called "it comes to this". great read. anyway, switching from the original universe to that of the next generation, i have to say, q/picard and q/riker are my favorite pairings. i just love q in general, to be honest, so really any good fic with him in it gets a thumbs up from me. one of my favorites is "tea. earl grey. hot." by crysthala, which is a q/picard fic. two of my favorite q/riker fics are "living a lie" and "forever", both by 1kiran. you'll find an amusing fic in "bedwarmer" a picard/riker fic by loralee1.
alright, well, that's all for now. :) whew! i didn't even think that i would be able to get through all of this tonight, but since i ended up not having class, i was able to do this. like i said before, this is in no way comprehensive, and if you would like to recommend a slash fic, please do. in fact, i may periodically post recommendations on slash fics, though it might not be as long as this one.
