Sam started getting really worried when the revenge pranks stopped completely, The Dean he knew would never let something go that easily, and Castiel could be quite persistent when he wanted to.

The fears became progressively worse when he dangled his hand while reading yet another book on demonic spells, a sudden, sharp pain had him jumping up and trying to shake a playful Dean off his fingers, Dean was never really playful, the kitten finally let his now bleeding fingers go, before batting at his shoelaces, sighing he went to bandage his fingers, before settling down to watch Dean play for a while.

He was pulled from his fascination with Dean's focus on his laces, by Ruby's slightly pained yell, she'd been having a nap on the couch while Bobby had gone to the store for supplies, both kitten's now having a craving for tuna fish, another thing to be worried about, when they'd been human neither Dean nor Cas had particularly like tuna.

Walking into the loungeroom, Sam quickly saw what the problem was, in his kittenish state of mind, Castiel had somehow managed to get himself thoroughly stuck in the demon's hair, apparently have a toy like that hanging off the couch was too much to resist, his attempt to dis-engage the winged kitten was hampered by the fact that Dean was still interested in his shoelaces, and Cas thought his freshly bandaged fingers where a new toy, he settled for gently rubbing Castiel's tummy, once again it worked, the winged cat became a limp, purring mass of fur and was quickly pulled from Ruby's hair.

Sam and Ruby looked at each other with worry, the two kittenified members of their group where behaving less and less human every day, suddenly both cats perked up their ears, Sam barely had time to register the sound of Bobby's car coming up the driveway before they where both purring at the door.

Bobby nearly fell when both the kittens started rubbing against his legs, they had started recognizing the sound of Bobby's car as the Tuna sound, but this time there was a new smell that they wanted to get to, Bobby ignored them and made his way to the kitchen, both kittens following him like he was made of catnip, Sam and Ruby followed behind and started helping him put the stuff away.

"Bobby?"
"Yes Ruby."
"Fresh fish?"
"It was on special, Tuna's well and good, but it has too much preservatives and salt in it."
"OK?"
"It's like this, animal's can handle salt, but not in the quantities in tinned fish, a can occasionally is ok, but the amount we've been feeding them is bad for their health, besides, they'll like this a whole lot better anyway."

Bobby was proved correct as soon as he opened the bags with the fish in it, the purring leg rubs that had stopped while they were in the kitchen, suddenly doubled in kitty effort, nearly tripping them all to the ground with the new meal in their hands, regaining his balance, Bobby effortlessly filleted the fish, before handing a piece each to Ruby and Sam.

"Draw them away with these, I'll get the rest of this stuff away while you have them."

Delicately holding the piece off fish in his undamaged fingers, Sam followed Ruby out to the Dining room and sat down, the speed in which Castiel fell on the new treat, told Sam it wouldn't be long until..OUCH.....yep there went the other hand.
