ahhhh I am a very happy gal! i am having such an enjoyable time! i wasn't sure how things would pan out now that i am totally at ithaca 24/7, but things are going peachy!! there is so much going on and soo much to do, always. there have only been brief moments of emo boredness, but they were quickly corrected. friday night i planned on just kicking back and relaxing in my room after work, since i did not have a long trek to go on for once. on my way back from dinner, i stopped at ange's room. quick note, i am soooo jealous of her floor. her neighbors are all so fun and social. her RA is really involved and outgoing too. i ended up just hanging out up there for hours. a bunch of us started to head off to some frat party at cornell, but then decided that it was definitly not our scene at all, so we forgot about that and went to the movies. 40 year old virgin made for a hysterical night. we were the only people in the theatre too, weee. then a few of us just chilled out in my room until about 4 ish. i slept until about 3 saturday, it was divine to say the least. i got myself up and about, then headed off to my first official ithacappella concert as an ithacan! it was a blast. people go NUTS for these guys, it is great! i thought it would be a dull night, since my room mate was (surprise) sleeping when i got back. while walking to go pee, i got abducted by the chickies down the hall, jackee and rachel (my RA). ended up spending my night being random with them. threw a party for this guy john that i have never met, enjoyed some free cake (tee hee) and a drink or 2, dyed rachel's hair, then sparked the hair dying trend which resulted in several guys, both drunk and sober, volunteering to get their hair dyed as well. the night teetered off around 2 ish. this morning was habidash, a 5k to raise money for habitat for humanity. angie, rachel, sarah, and i ventured to the park to participate. it was a really great time. good talks. i really got to realizing how very happy i am here and how good things are. i am so glad to be here, and i can really appreciate it too, after the last two years that i had. i hope things keep on the up and up. i feel i am getting to know a lot of fun nifty people :) i am enjoying my knitting circle, it is quite nice because it is a chance to wind down and learn a lot of new ideas.
oh, and it is absolutely necessary that everyone hears the free cake song. this was the song that was played as adam day presented some guys with free cake on stage, and then they proceeded to dance in a rejoicing manner. so, all, here you may listen to the free cake song http://www.purevolume.com/dadbot/music
