I'm cold, cut, clear minded, and that's all right with me
there seem to be large gaps between my updates, i hope to change that, mostly because i am hoping to have more exciting and interesting things to write about.
so anyway
faire is over! i am quite relieved, but part of me will miss it. it took far too much out of me, now i can catch up on my work and my sleep...mmmm. i have been napping a lot. last weekend was enjoyable though. of course it took me til the last weekend to find where they had chicken and dumpling soup in a marble rye breadbowl *divine* but yes, the weekend was nice. i got to see jojo, hooray! i left with a good deal of sweet jewelry, the killers stuck in my head forever, relief, and exhaustion beyond belief. i am very very very glad that my attention and time is totally ithaca :)
i decided to get quite involved around here and start enjoying myself. i volunteered to work the OAR concert that is coming up next weekend! i am quite excited! knitting circle starts sunday! i get to sleep on saturday *gasp* and perhaps i will explore the gorges. ohhhhh i saw adam day tonight. my my my. he is refered to as ithaca's favorite son, and for good reason. i very much enjoy him. he puts on a super awesome show, he and his band played for a good 2 1/2 hours straight! there was cake (as in the baked good), a devo-esque cake song, a cake story, and cake dancing. it tickled me and made my night. afterwards i joined them or cider and cookies (as they invited us all with a nifty cider-and-cookies song, how nice of them)
the coldness is starting to make itself present around here, as expected. it was joked about tonight that we only have about 2 weeks left of fall in ithaca, sadly this is true.
oh! so let me rant quickly about my laundry woes. the laundry situation here is ridiculous! in my building, there is one laundry room, it has 2 small washers and 3 dryers. there are 90+ people in my building. i went to wash my clothes yesterday afternoon, while people were still classing. i luckily got a washer. little do i know that some guy decides to wash his whole life yesterday and decides he shall take up every machine for the whole afternoon. i waited hours just to be able to move my stuff to a dryer. when a dryer was free, this guy decides that he shall be using it, though he has the other 2 dryers going AND proceeded to take MY clothes out of the washer to put more of his in. now, there was a good deal of my underwear in this wash, he has the nerve to just go ahead and take it all out! aldkj;alkdjfadfa;lkj so i bring my wet laundry back down to my room to wait. hours later again, i venture upstairs, luckily to get a dryer. not 5 minuts after my stuff is dry, another person goes ahead and takes it all out and leaves it on the dryer so that they can use it. 5 minutes! you impatient people! and to boot, my socks keep disappearing ;alkdjf;lkdjfsa this is unacceptable. *end*
that's enough for now, i will be better at keeping up with this, since i plan on having more to talk about.
