The libraries in the CR Metro area are connected to this thing called iBistro which acts as a card catalogue.You also have the ability to look up hold items through this "catalogue." I have Pledged on hold right now, too. I think I'm actually 2nd in the queue now (I put the hold on it at the beginnig of June).

I'm not too terribly impressed with our CR Public Library system. The 70s ghetto throwback institutional building kind of ruins the ambiance for me. But that doesn't stop me from checking out 4 books/week from there. I think there's maybe been two weeks where I didn't have a book from the library at home, otherwise it's a constant stream.

I'm not a fan of the library building itself either. Chris always refers to the ungodly amount of wasted space in the building. It's pretty much right on. It doesn't seem like the best set up for a city of this size. I especially hate that there are no nooks or crannies to lose yourself in for reading purposes ( ... )
