I intend to post this on tww100 but am new to the concept of cuts so I'm giving it a try here -- and it also serves the purpose of allowing me to procrastinate calling my boss to tell him I'm quitting. :-)
Title: Mental (challenge #53: Illness)

Summary: It has to be some kind of mental illness.
Author's Note: My first attempt at a drabble. Those that know me know well that this is about 100,000 words less than I usually use to tell a story.
'It has to be some kind of mental illness,' she thinks, as she listens to the raised, angry voices coming through the closed door.
Their coworkers are busy looking busy, pretending not to listen to the train wreck that has become their boss' love life. Normally, she would give them all a disapproving glance, spurring them to return to their seats -- move along -- there's nothing to see here -- but today she doesn't have the strength.
'Perhaps . . . ' her thoughts continue, flinching as something -- a stapler? -- hits the closed door with a resounding thud. 'Perhaps, I could be the cure?'
She smiles
