Pool Shark

Just got back from Vegas with the girls, as we decided randomly to go bar hopping tonight. The original plan was to check out the tres chouette bars on Killington Access, but alas they are all closed. Second choice was Vegas, and after scooping up a Mickle the four of us had fun drinking and playing pool in a tiny deserted bar. It was really nice. They had the radio on my favorite staion (105.3 The Point) and the amaretto sours were tasty. I even played a good game of pool for my first time. :-) It was GMCers vs. Wheatonites, and we kicked butt :-P Hee hee.

Was so good to see Mickle again! It was cool that he was up for some adventure after work. It was all so spontaneous.

And going in the jeep was a lot of fun too! Kris is definitely getting the hang of the stick shift. I wouldn't trust myself to drive one.

This afternoon I picked up Heather after work and we had lunch at Julios in Montpelier. Very nice Mexican restaraunt right on the main street. I think that it was the place where the Barreda boys took us after that crazy night of contra dancing. The place where we played the sugar packet murder game and the dramatic deaths not only spilled water all over the nachos, but other customers were shocked to see people rolling on the floor as they died. It was quite a scene.

But we really had a good time! It went really well, considering I haven't talked to her in almost 2 years. We played with the toys in a toy store, shared college stories, got Ben & Jerry's and caught up on family. I briefly got to meet her fiancee (who she is marrying next summer) when I dropped her off at GW.

I'll write more next week. Tomorrow I am off to GMC and then the Dispatch concert with some of the GMC gang. I hear tell Jack may be going as well. Yay! Looking forward to seeing you all!
