The poppies are for Remembrance Day in the UK. They are a sign of showing respect for people who have died in the wars. By selling these they raise money for the war veterans.

That is neat. I figured they were something like that. Whe have yellow ribbons for ours. I did not know what they were. I figured they were some type of flower but did not know what kind.
