So. My house is clean and the laundry is done. I let my sheets and towels dry in the sun and now they are infused with the scent and mood of the wind. Ahhh. I cant wait to get into bed tonight and be surrounded in that smell.
I heard a rumor that a tall girl in an irish green terry mini skirt was spotted painting her yellow door red. I think this weekend I will paint my kitchen wall. It is currently a very vibrant shade of green. I'd call it lime green- not "lime green" but the color of the skin of a lime. Maybe fluorescent grass green would describe it better or reflective street sign green. I know it sounds terrible, but I promise it isnt that bad. It is just one wall. Even so, I think I should tone the color down a notch so I'm going to paint it a very slightly different shade. It is called Apple 6 (laura ashley paint sold at lowes, in case you want to see...) My front door went from being "Hawthorne Yellow" to "Heritage Red" (both benjamin moore, dont get too excited Abby :) I guess the red looks alright; better than the yellow anyway even though they are both fabulous shades. (sit up straight whilst typing stef) It's just that I dont like the color of my window shutters. They are like brick red with too much brown so it ends up being brown with a touch of red. Or maybe that is just how they look in this light... It would be a great lipstick color. (Hey, I spelled my name Stef. I always spell it Steph. I kind of like it as Stef. Hmmm.) The house itself is off white, close to yellow, but not quite. Clearly, outdoor home painting is not my forte. Maybe I'm just too adventurous with color for outdoor paint. My indoors are painted quite boldly. Living Room: Bright Red. Hall: Cafe au lait. Bedroom: A soothing shade of Poo Brown that "works" in there. Bathroom: Pale Yellow. Spare Bedroom: Sky Blue. Office: Burnt Orange. Kitchen: aforementioned shade of Lime. Dining same cafe au lait as hall. Master Bath: Bright Red. Now I'm just rambling... I dont like the outside of my house. It is not classy looking at all and I do so love class.
