A Weekend of Fun
The wedding was wonderful - held at Water's Edge which is a beach resort in Westbrook, CT. The wedding was at the edge of the beach and was made memorable by one of the ushers fainting twice. Just when the ambulance and the firetruck arrived - the groom fainted also. No one got taken to the hospital and the EMT was a little cranky that they refused service. Ah well- we had plenty of EMTs and a doctor in case of further complications. Did I mention this was a fire department wedding? The groom is the Captain in our fire department and his father is the chief. He may never live down fainting but that only makes for great family stories. We came back from the wedding stuffed with good food but more sunburned that I have been in years.!
