There seems to be a lot of sadness and surgery around. My sister-in-law's mother-in-law just died on Monday. She had just broken her hip and had the surgery and was doing well. Then she had a little pneumonia and her systems just started shutting down. She was over 85, but it was such a shock.
A friend went in for a tumor on her brain stem, my nephew just had foot surgery and his mom is facing foot surgery with 10 weeks of no weight bearing.
On a happy note, Patrick (another nephew) is getting married to his high school sweetheart on the 18th! They are both around 25 now and have good jobs. We'll be dancing at the wedding!
