- I've finally been set up with BitTorrent. Does anyone have any good sources for indie music? Much appreciated!
- I am incredibly stiff and sore today. I went on two trailrides yesterday - a shorter one with Sonya and Dakota that didn't go all that well (I still can't trust Dakota, and it makes me all nervous and tense, which makes Sugar nervous and tense), then a longer one with a few ladies from the barn (Carol, Leslie, Megan, and Penny). The second ride was a lot better. We did a lot of cantering and jumping logs on the trail, it was really fun ... I miss rides like that. Sugar had fun too, though she was exhausted when we got home. She got the deluxe treatment (warm bath, towel rub, liniment on her legs, etc).
- I rode english on Monday, for the first time since my accident (I was riding english that day). It went really well, Sugar was an angel once I relaxed and we figured each other out. She had a gorgeous long-and-low trot going. I've finally figured out how to encourage her to stretch down into the contact.
- Work is going very well. I'm getting fairly proficient on the till. Playing cashier is fun. My till balanced yesterday after my shift, which was a big accomplishment ... the managers congratulated me, haha. Apparently not everyone manages that on only their second day on the till. I faced products for about an hour and a half yesterday (bringing products to the front of the shelves, straightening them, turning the labels english side out, basically making the display look more appealing), which is dangerous, because I get to see all sorts of cool shit you can buy, and it makes me want more pets. I want a bird now. But I'm smart enough to wait a few years before I go out and get one, haha.
Tomorrow is my first eight hour shift ... I wonder how that will go.
- I have that one day course at Douglas College this Saturday ... "First Aid for Dogs". I'm pretty excited, I think it will be very interesting and informative. Though I keep thinking about THIS whenever I think of dogs today ... eww.
I really need to enjoy my day off, get off the computer, and do some painting or something. Yes.
