Good Van news

Quick van update: We got a call from ICBC over the weekend, and they've completed the preliminary assessment of the van. They think it's fixable. They will try to fix the ignition/steering column, replace the windshield and camper shell windows, and clean the carpets. They will give us cash towards the purchase of a new cd player and cb radio ($

well that is always better to pay less. or better yet not have a scrapped van, I dont think you could fins another van like that, but your man could probaly build it( we have the technology, we can make it stronger faster louder). Ok enough showing my age with that quote. again congrats on that love and hope thigns are all going well as they seem to be.

So glad to hear the van is going to be okay (most likely)! Good news!

You might check out metaphorge, who is connected to a Burning Man project called the "Temple of All Gods" (or words to that effect). I have not met him personally yet (though he'll be at PantheaCon next month, so I'll hopefully meet him then), but various of my LJ friends know him, and he would pretty much set off all the same -dars that we set off for each other when yourself, Josh and I first met. Anyway, it's a thought and a start, in any case, perhaps.

I want to go this year. Christi and I might be going. She is awesome. She is a tatoo artist and a piercer. She is hoping to get her mobile studio up in time for burning man. She thinks it would be great to tatoo people on a barter basis. Myself I am just now reading Pronoia by Rob Breszney. It is awesome. The book itself was born at burning man 2001. I have had peripheral contact with burners and the idea of burning man for 2 years now. I think it is time to go.
