Genre: IDEK Fluff maybe…
Summary: Kangin flirts with a girl at a bar. Heechul has to set her straight.
A/N: IDEK Alright? This was supposed to be funny, but as I was writing it, it kind of morphed into whatever the hell it is now. I haven’t even got words for it. It was also supposed to be mainly a Kangtuek fic but Heechul will have his way and will have the spotlight and I let him because he’s amazingness incarnate. Comments are love. If this deserves any, I do not know.
“Married men do not leave their wives.” He told her, slipping into the vacant bar stool next to hers with all the grace of a cat.
“Excuse me?” She asked. He thought she might’ve been offended, but it could have been simple confusion.
He nodded his head in the direction of the dance floor where the lights were flashing the bass was pounding.
“I’ve seen you watching him.” He stated almost conversationally.
She didn’t deny it. Who could when their eyes were so obviously trained on one person? Her eyes were glued to his frame as he danced, mouth curling up into a small echoing smile when he threw his head back and laughed.
The man on the barstool made a disgusted noise, and she spun around angrily to face him.
“What of it?” She demanded.
The feminine man smirked, a smile that sent shivers down her spin and not in the good way she normally associated with pleasure. It felt dangerous.
“Whatever he’s promised you, you can forget about it. Youngwoon likes to flirt and will flirt with anything in a skirt. So don’t flatter yourself and think you’re special to him. He’s just trying to hold on to whatever masculinity he’s got left.”
She choked on her drink. The dancing man had in fact asked for her number, which she had given. She was looking forward to his call so they could continue where they had left off. Although now that she thought about it their conversation had been nothing if not inconsequential. Perhaps his easy smile and charming eyes had blinded her after all.
“Oh I know you’re gorgeous and sexy and could have any guy in the place (except for yours truly) but you don’t mean anything to him. Trust me.” He paused to take a sip of his drink, knocking it back with practiced ease. “Youngwoon is such a ladies’ man. I don’t know how Leeteuk puts up with him. If Hangeng or Siwon tried that on me, I’d kick their ass to the curb faster than you could say ‘boo’”
She glared at the red head. “I don’t know why you’re telling me all this.”
He shrugged. “ Consider it my good deed of the day. I’d hate to see another woman disillusioned by Kangin’s charm, besides Leeteuk is stressed enough without worrying about Kangin cheating. Even though everyone (except you) knows that Kangin would never cheat on Leeteuk because married men do not leave their wives. Not even for hot pieces of ass like you.” He finished his drink and set down the empty glass on the bar with a clink.
He slipped away just as easily as he had come leaving her to ponder his words. She turned her gaze back to the man on the dance floor and blanched to see he wasn’t dancing alone. There was a figure, a man, pressed up against him, dancing close.
She noted the way Youngwoon’s eyes lit up; the way his hands rested on the other’s hips possessively, familiarly. She watched as he leaned down to whisper in the other’s ear, no doubt mouthing words on undying devotion against his pale skin. When the two started to kiss she knew she had seen enough.
She downed her drink, tore up the napkin on which Youngwoon had written his number and went to find a different, hopefully more straight and less attached, man to take her home that night.
Heechul watched in satisfaction from his vantage point; the booth where some members of Super Junior sat taking a break from dancing.
Hangeng noticed Heechul’s smirk. “Hmm and what are you so happy about?” He pulled Heechul unto his lap, so that he could wrap his arms around the princess’ waist. Siwon had his arm draped casually across Hangeng’s shoulder and was breathing drunkenly into Hangeng’s neck. Siwon never could hold his liquor.
Heechul’s smirk widened. “Oh nothing” He replied to Hangeng’s query. “Just did my good deed of the day.” He flapped his hand in the direction of the bar.
Siwon snorted. “Of the day Hyung?”
Heechul flapped his hand, dismissively this time. “Of the day, of the year whatever. Point is I just saved Kangin from sleeping on the couch.”
Hangeng raised an eyebrow at that. “Is that what you were doing there over at the bar? For a minute there I was worried you had gone straight. “ He nodded to the very pretty woman Heechul had been talking to, as she tried unsuccessfully to engage Shindong in conversation.
“Don’t be silly.” Heechul said. He reached back to tangle one hand into Hangeng’s hair, and grasped Siwon’s hand with the other.
“Married men do not leave their wives.”
The End.
