(no subject)
So. Third update (I think?) today, but you guys just have to bear with me, I'm unemployed and broke, and at least the internet's free (haha... for me... not for my parents!)
Anyway. This shall be a semi-happy one because:
a) I'm Auður. I'm a happy person. I don't do unhappy.
b) There's music
c) I talked to the parents, and my mother gave my money so I can have my hair cut
d) This completely surprised me, as I can get someone to do that for free, but I need other things, such as a photo for the Visa papers, that I can't get for free
e) She then told me that dad was to take me to get a photo taken tomorrow, and pay for it and whee
f) I went grocery shopping with dad, and made him buy me shampoo and toothpaste and deodorant
So, tomorrow I shall have a new haircut, a passport photo the embassy will actually accept, plus I can be all clean and nice-smelling in the US. Yay.
Oh... I need someone to teach me how the American money system works. Someone? It confuses me. I learned it when I was there in 1999, but I've forgotten now. I just found two dimes, stared at them for a while and realised I have no idea whatsoever what a dime is. So. Crash course for me, anyone?
