Remember the mid/late 90's? When pop music was still good? When you'd spend afternoons watching MTV at your friend's house? No? Well, I do.

It always amuses me when I stumble upon old videos on youtube. Especially if it's an old video featuring a girl. Because back then - when my friends were drooling over Savage Garden's Truly Madly Deeply video - I just played along and pretended to think they were totally hot. But I didn't. I liked the song, but that was about it... I just didn't understand yet that I wasn't going to grow out of my indifference towards boys in general. So you know. I pretended to get excited about posters of boys with six-packs. But when one of my favorite girls came on TV I'd just quietly think to myself "she's cool, I wanna be like her". Which now, when I catch myself thinking that, translates into "I think she's awesome and I kinda have a crush on her". And then I'd put up posters of Natalie Imbruglia next to my 3T posters (don't even ask...).

Uh, anyway. This random it's-five-in-the-morning-and-I-can't-sleep post brought to you as a result of youtubing Lene Marlin (who I just now realized I had a huge crush on back in the day...)

As a side note - I still listen to her debut CD. And I love it. Either it's actually good music, or I'm just nostalgic. I don't like her newer music, though.
