I am so disappointed. My stupid university is too small. And the biology department is way too small. Boo.

So, here's how it works. If you're a biology student, you choose one of three "majors" - marine, molecular or general biology. There are about 45 biology students in my year, so we all know eachother which is great. But it's not always good. About 25 students are majoring in molecular biology. There are 2 (haha) students majoring in marine biology, and the rest, including me, are majoring in general biology.

Next year is my third and last year. The first two years are mainly spent on courses that all biology students have to take, but the last year is all electives within your major. But here's the thing - courses are not taught unless there are at least 7 students registered for it. And 7 students is about half of the general biology students in my year. And so, what should be my chance to learn what I want to learn (FINALLY), isn't. Because so far it looks like the two courses I wanted to take the most will not be taught next year. There are only five students registered for limnology, and TWO have registered for ecology of plants... so boo. I could CRY, I want to take limnology so badly... I'm okay with the other one, I'll probably find something to replace it with. But ugh. So frustrated. Stupid small country and stupid small biology department. I don't like this.

On a happier note, I just finished my developmental biology final, and it was alright. Only three more to go!

grrr, school
