Hahaha. I think I lead a strange life. Yesterday, my parents and I suddenly decided to drive to Pixley and purchase almost a ton of blackeye beans that will feed the sheep for the year. So I go out to the barn, hitch up the sheep trailor, and fill it trash cans. I dump out dead mice and rats that have crawled inside and died of various trashcans and then put them inside the trailor. I pour extra feed out of the trashcans into trashbags and consolidate them all into a couple trash cans. After I pumped up the tires on the trailor I dash up to the house, grab a sack lunch and then we all leave.
Along the way, we pull off the freeway to pull to fix a few trashcans that look like they might blow off. And there, sitting on the side of the road is a huge pile of carrots. They're sitting on a curve in the road so I assume they fell off as the truck turned the corner. They're very tempting sitting there, but we leave the carrots alone and drive on. We get to Pixley and pick up the beans. ($74 bucks for 1500lbs of beans!) And we head home.
We start to come up on the offramp where the carrots were and my mom turns and looks at me. I simply nod and we pull off the freeway. There they are. A beautiful pile of orange shining in the sun. I picked a few up and found that they snapped when i broke them and gave off the sweet aroma of a fresh carrot. Well, now I need a box to put them in. I look down the road and see a spot where a bunch of boxes and other trash had been dumped. So I wander up the road towards them. As I go these two young mexican guys pull over. In broken english they say, "You needla ride? you hitchikin'? You know, it's dangerous for a gal like you to be hitchikin'. It's a good thing we come." HAHAHA. As you have probably guessed, I turned them down. Anyways, got around 50 pounds of carrots and the sheep and horse love them. I love getting free food. Oh yeah, I found a great box in the dump, very sturdy and large. :P
I have now taken a month of West Coast Swing and Nightclub Step II dancing. I'm pretty much in love with dancing. I could dance every night for hours and still want more. My favorite steps are the ones where i have my back to my partner and i walk backwards with his arms around me. I found it amusing that I find those steps to be my favorite. But they're so much fun! I never would have thought i would like those. I always imagined myself wanting to shove the guy away from being so close to me. But instead, I love it. I also absolutely love traveling across the dance floor. The steps required for that are the ones I'm the best at in the class. :D
I'm submitting my application for Cal Poly today. Applying early decision. I'm nervous about it. But I'll stand on my head to get in. So we'll have to see.
