Chipperness!

So I haven't updated in a long while. (i seem to say that everytime I get on here, lol)
I got my SAT scores back. And, although I would have liked to have gotten higher, I'm happy enough with them that I won't take that evil test again. I got an 1830. Not bad.

So I went to Worldview Academy last week. WVA is this summer camp to teach hs students about the different worldviews of the world. I had a super fantastic time. I met some way awesome people.
The highlight of the week was the evangelizing. It was so amazing. They split us into groups of 3. So I was with my great roomate, Savannah, and this other guy named Caleb. We talked to about 7 people. The first one said she was too busy. The 2nd, a small group of people, said they had already been talked to by somebody from the camp, so Caleb asked what they thought of the conversation, and they said that they found it to be interesting and that the people who had talked to them had been nice. We then talked to a foreigner. I really messed that one up. I found her hard to understand and since she was the first one I was really talking to, it came out badly. So anyway, we moved on and came across an older lady sitting on a bench. I went up to her and she said that she had already been talked to. She looked positively terrified! Her eyes were huge and she seemed to shrink when Caleb asked what she thought about it. So on we went.
We finally met an older couple and started talking to them. The lady was furious that we were even asking such questions and she told us that it was none of our business. But her husband talked to us. He was an athiest and told us that we were unreasonable and illogical to even think that there could be a God. Then the lady told us that the Revelation had already happened and 666 was Nero. And somehow this proved that the Bible told nothing but lies. I didn't get it. She also said that the Revelation was just a horror story. Which I guess I could see, I mean the Revelation would be scary to an unbeliever, I guess.
After we left them, we went on talked to another lady who was resting on a bench. She said she a Catholic and she said that we could get to heaven through good works. So after asking if she believed in the Bible, I quoted Ephesians where it says that we aren't saved by good works. That seemed to bug her and I took that she wanted us to go away and said she had just sat down to rest her feet. So I did the obvious thing and offered to pray for her feet. That freaked her out. So we left.
We then talked to a few other people and left the park.

The meals there were pretty fun. I mostly ate with my awesome roomate, Savannah, and her friends. I ate a couple meals with Marieke and her friends. Haha, they were fun people. This one guy named Daniel kept us entertained during my last dinner there by telling us the wildest stuff. ROFL. Good times. And even better, Mieke's friends live just in Bakersfield so it'd be awesome to be able to chill with them sometime.

Anyway. The lectures at camp were super fantastic. I learned soo much. I especially loved that they told us we had to read. HAHA. No problem. Since reading is pretty much my entire life, I love this new rule. (if anybody has any book suggestions I would love them) :)

On to other news. My robotics team had our sponsor and mentor appreciation dinner last Thursday. Went very well. It was nice to see everybody from my team again. I'm hoping that we can all get together during the summer and hang out sometime.

Hehe. Last night I was reading through all my blogs and I realized that like none of them would actually make sense to anybody reading the events that i write unless they had survived the event with me. If I have time, I'm thinking that maybe i'll try to interpret them so they can make some sense to the poor people reading this journal.
