Hey computer geeks!

Once again, I come to you asking for help. I think I collectively owe you a couple of bottles of Mountain Dew, or something.

My computer's pretty much dead. It got sent off to sorrowsheart's IT guy friend from work, who as good as confirmed it was the power supply that was fucked. While I could go to the cost and trouble of replacing it, he says, I'm better off buying a new machine if I'm going to be spending money in the first place. I don't have the funds to buy the Mac I've been telling myself for YEARS I was holding out for, so I'm turning to a regular PC as a stop-gap to fill my computing needs for the next year or two.

My dad suggested the Lenovo 3000 G530 4446-24U, on sale at (the bought-out new and improved) Circuit City for $450.

My question to you is this: What do you suggest?

I am not interested in desk tops. I want something small and portable. I need it to do word processing and internet (I have a habit of working at least half a dozen windows/tabs at the same time). Being up to spec for Rosetta Stone, and WoW if I ever have the money to reinstate my account, gets bonus points. Can't cost more than $500.

Thanks in advance!
(and maybe some Doritos, too...)
