Mmmmm...wireless
Yes. I am once again connected to the internet!! My dad sent me some card (wireless I presume) and now I have my beautiful beautiful internet. I can't tell you how disconnected I've felt from everyone. I didn't know if people had gotten married, what happened on birthdays, where people had moved to, videos...
But now I am a part of cyberspace again and I feel think the mothership has welcomed me back with open arms.
I'm very excited about Chicago. In January I will begin taking classes at Improv Olympic. I wanted to do Second City, but IO is suppose to be just as good (and cheaper). It'll take me a year to get through the entire program, 5 levels, but I'll be seen by agents somewhere along the way and I'll meet cool people. I met a girl who is now a part of second city's touring company and she took classes at IO and then was approached by 2nd City. So that makes me feel like I'll get a good education there. I wish I had done all of this sooner. Just moved up here right after GC. But no, I had to waste three years in grad school! But live and learn I suppose. I did meet awesome people at USM and my last year was very cool.
So, I'm sending out headshots, signing up for classes, and meeting actors. It's all very exciting and I really feel like I will do well here. Plus I have some jewelry parties on the horizon, yeah money.
I miss things about Charlotte. I miss driving. The trains and buses are a hassle. I miss knowing my way around, friends, family, better weather (despite tornadoes), christmasy things like MacAdenville.
I'm hoping to come home on x-mas day. So I will see my charlotte peeps soon.
Also, like Karen, I may be giving LJ the boot. I think I'll be doing most of my blogging on myspace. It's just easier. Sorry lj folks, I've turned to the dark side.
