Okay, so last night I found out that Beth will not be moving to Chicago with me. She just got a new job and will be training for a year. So it's just me and Reilly. Eeek! But I finally figured out what area of Chicago I want to live in, the downtown vicinity. I thought it would be too expensive but there are some places that are quite reasonable. I found this company that helps you find apartments in your price range and helps you through the entire process of applying and landing said apartment. So I'm not too scared. I'm still planning on going up there this summer to get a feel for it. I'm hoping to move around september.
Though I love Beth part of me is looking forward to not having a roommate. Sure it would have been sweet money-wise, but from past experiences I've learned I like living solo. There will be days when I'll be bored out of my mind, but overall I think it's for the best. Also I shall be forced to buy a computer now. I've never had my very own. Sweet. And I can write it off on my taxes!
Now I need to figure out what to do this summer. I may go back to JJill so I'll have fresh retail work on my resume, but I'd rather work someplace like Delia's or even Starbucks, mainly for the benefits. I can focus more on my jewelry too.
