Using your exceptional Latin skills you debate policy and vote in the interests of the people on important matters of state. You are a powerful individual, and your words catch the ear of the upper-class as well as your peers in the senate. Like all ( Read more... )

I got 90% :) (But I do have a GCSE in Latin - even if it was 12 years ago and I've forgotten most of it...)

All I was ever taught was a few stock legal phrases. The rest is self taught and using my knowledge of modern Latinate languages.

Which makes your score more impressive IMHO.
Plus, you have a Perfect Ten Geek cartoon, which is worth more than all the rest put together.

I got full marks; but, like Bow, I took GCSE Latin. 70% is pretty darn impressive.

I had the rivetting choices of French or German at GCSE.

Oh, I took both of those too (French was compulsory, German an option). Can't remember much of either of them now, mind...

You took three languages? We had to take one as a core language requirement and could opt for the other as our free subject.

Our subject requirements were:
English
English Lit
Maths
Science (Dual Award)
Technology (with Workshop and Electronics as standard, but also specialising in either Graphic Design or Textiles)
Languages (one of either French or German)
Humanities (one of either History of Geography)
Arts (one of either Art, Music or Drama)
And one free subject, with which you could either opt for a second language, humanity or art (if your timetable allowed) or go for something else like RE, IT, Home Ec or, for me, Seperate Sciences.

The extra science was a little wasted on me, because I got the same grade for all three anyway, so I might as well have taken a second language instead.

Wow, that was a rambly, pointless comment!
