alas...
so... my mother-in-law threw an awesome baby shower for me today. my parents even came down to participate, although my poor mother was terrified to pieces of the in-laws. my sister-in-law jessica had some entertaining games for us, one of which resulted in a little book of advice for new parents, which is actually very helpful. and we got some cool swag.
but... none of my friends could make it. my doula was attending a birth. my friend jess's sister died in a car accident two days ago. ashley is having pregnancy complications and spent all day friday in the ER. and ben and i sorta decided that it might look kinda odd if the only friend i brought was a man not my husband.
and i'm still going through southland withdrawals. *sigh*
