The inspector came out to review the house yesterday. So, of course, I haven't slept well at all for the last couple of days.
While the inspector was here, we left. Iin part is was so the buyer could wander around and picture all his furniture and possessions in his "new" house. I've also been informed that it's really hard to see an inspector ripping your house apart and pointing out all the flaws.
Rommy had a spa day again. Just a puppy manicure this time.
I ran errands. One of my many many stops was to my insurance company to see if they could provide any info on what my options were in Boston. Turns out I don't have any. My insurance company isn't taking any new business in Massachusetts. After years of using the same company, I now have to start all over again from scratch.
Madness, madness I tell you.
On a more positive note, The inspection went well. The list of items he is requesting I fix is pretty small and fairly minor. Instead of fixing them, I offered him the fridge and washer/dryer. Good deal for him and I don't have to worry about finding a buyer for them.
If he's smart, he'll accept. Most of the things on the list aren't actually code violations because they were in place before the code was changed.
Still have three days left in the option period, but I'm hopeful.
