I don't want to jinx anything because no paperwork has been signed, but Zeke and I have reached an agreement. Yes, based on what I can read of his signature on the first offer, I think his name is Zeke. Perfect Texas name. I wonder if he realizes that owning a dog is pretty much mandatory in my neighborhood. He'll find out.
Incredibly stressful day, waiting for his response to my counteroffer. Didn't help that his crappy realtor promised a response this morning and then didn't answer her phone or call my realtor back all day. Bad customer service.
Paperwork should be signed tomorrow and then all I have to do is get through the inspection and the 10 day period where he can walk away for any reason. Texas certainly does favor the buyer over the seller.
It looks like it's going to be a gloriously busy month as I get ready to move.
