Where is my toothbrush... and my can opener... and my ... ... ...
Update on the chaos:
--Granite counter tops are in look amazing
-- Stone tile back-splash is up and grouted. Needs to be sealed
-- bathroom is tiled, new toilet, new sink and cabinet. New lighting installed. Fixtures (TP holder, etc) bought and ready to install
-- House is painted!!!! Inside and out. Inside looks amazing and I've become convinced that I picked the right colors for the outside. There was some serious doubt for a while. Even the *sshole boyfriend next door complimented me on it.
-- Wood floors are laid in the back half of the house. They'll sit for a week and then they'll get sanded and stained, as will the original floors in the front half of the house.
Things to do this weekend:
-- Install all the hinges, knobs and pulls in the kitchen cabinets
-- finish mulching the flower beds and the sides of the house (I'm hiring day labor to help with some of the outside stuff)
-- install the stones for the path to the studio/workshop
-- cut a little off the door to the garage so it'll open over the new wood floors in the kitchen.
-- Continue to deal with all the stuff that just got piled in the living room when I needed to clear out the bedrooms so the painters could paint.
-- Continue to pack and organize the kiln room/garage

Everything has to be out of the house by Wednesday so they can sand and stain the floors. Everything!!!
Right now, I don't know how it'll all get done, but it will.
