Trays an Vases (Finally, some pics of pots)

Here are a few pots I've photographed lately. I need to post more about the clay related parts of my life.

A kaki tray and detail photo from it. I love how the iron crystals grow when the glaze is thick. If the glaze is too thick, it runs off or crawls.

A fish-scale tray in Verdigris. I love this glaze!! So soft and can be so many colors and textures, all good!

These are a couple of my Ikebana vases. For those that don't know, Ikebana is a Japanese style of flower arranging. A vary SIMPLE. SPARE and NATURAL arrangement. (Was that Martha enough for you, Charlie?)

I've been to a few classes here in Houston, but really, I just fake it. Like anything Japanese. it takes years of study to really understand the "rules", which aren't usually written down anywhere.

Don't tell anyone, but I came up with the idea for these vases years ago when I was playing with a coat hanger. Anything can be inspiring if you look at it right.

Next time I post, I'll post some pictures from my last Raku holiday. Got some amazing pots and got some great pics of the process.
