In the midst of chaos and up to my armpits in pots, clay and glaze. Firing one was good, although my tests mostly didn't do what I wanted them to. Ah well. That's why you test.
I'm avoiding glazing right now, but can only put it off for a few minutes more. I'm still on track to get 3 glaze firings in this before Open Studio's on Friday.
Ok,that's a lie. I suspect that I'll be unloading the last load on Saturday morning/early afternoon.
Here's a pic of a couple of bottle vases that are drying. I'm pretty darn pleased with them so far. They're the tallest things I've made in a long time. 15 inches or so. I've gotten into the habit of making "reasonable size" pieces for a while, but since I've started developing a relationship with some designers recently, the scale of "reasonable" has increased.
Back to the glaze mine.
