I have a working kiln!
Let the dancing and merriment commence. Libations for everyone (here in my loft, come and get them.)
The new porcelain yunomi** have been trimmed and I like the shapes that have come out. Hopefully, there will be some translucency once they're fired. Gotta wait till the end to see if they're thin enough.
Now I'm off to help Alex cook dinner for his horde of housemates. I'd much rather be loading the kiln or making new pots.
YUNOMI: the Japanese word for a cup with no stated purpose: i.e not for the tea ceremony (chawan) or specifically for drinking sake (guinomi), but perfectly acceptable for drinking either
as well as anything else.
