I got the BEST gifties this year in yuletide! Seriously. The best.
Excalibur, a Witchblade fic with Arthurian legend, perfect characterization, meaty plot, and so many awesome moments!
Beautifully executed in every way...
Testing the Leash Where Eddie tells Nick to leave him alone...but not really. Dialogue is spot on, fantastically funny, and fantastically in character. With a little slashy subtext just for moi. :D
Wagon "Eddie struggles to get back on the wagon. Nick doesn't exactly help, except he sort of does." So well written with unrequited slashy goodness and angsty Eddie. Lovely!
I want to hug them all. It's the first year I've gotten more than one fic, and I'm so incredibly overjoyed with all of them. My gifter went completely above and beyond with the Witchblade, which I didn't even figure I'd get, considering how little of it was requested/offered...and I'm so incredibly glad I requested it because it means that THIS story exists, now, and just...ah, what a lovely Yuletide it was. Is.
I don't know that I'll get much interest in this, but since I'm looking for inspiration and you guys are out there, I thought I'd ask - give me a fandom and a non-character-specific prompt, and I'll work on a fic. It can be a quote, a youtube clip, a fairy tale, a plot point...whatever you like.
