I can see a number of ways this poem can be interpreted with the sky being a personification for this, that an t'other. But I'll just throw in there what reached me first and strongest :D
One of the interpretations I like here is the self-reflection upon one's own imagination. As I read it I find someone wholly confident in their abilities, it's nice to see :) Lots of famous poets have reflected on their own unique imagination and vision and the first thing that popped into mind when I read this poem was a letter by the romantic poet, Blake, to Thomas Butts in which he wrote:
What to others a trifle appears Fills me full of smiles or tears; For double the vision my eyes do see, And a double vision is always with meI enjoyed your poem as a story with all the energy of a homosexual coming out of the closet and announcing to the world they're here to stay. Not to say you're like a tick-licker or anything :), simply to say it's a poem that finally shows a little bit of confidence in what you can do. Liking it,
