the most beautiful blue
i have ever seen,
dusted clouds in a
never-ending sky.
the most beautiful blue
i have ever seen is the sky
after the tragedy
of a storm.
gray presses down upon the
masses that look upwards
for guidence, hope, of despare.
the storm beats down upon
invisible people
who don't have the time to be
outside, though
chained to their television
and tangled in the wires of
a computer send
apathy to those who stand in the rain
while they
look through windows like
painted pictures, just
unmoving scenes and occasional light.
the beautiful blue, smattered
in a moving sky
unseen by a world who has
lost their ability
to appreciate.
As I walk through the rubble
I see the diamonds of windows
in the city
glowing against black hands
reaching to the sky.
The debris of a storm
unnoticed by those leaning
towards electricty like
so many savages
The most beautiful blue
I have ever seen
And I'm the only one
who isn't blind.
