weight-watching is tiring

  • Track EVERYTHING you eat. BE HONEST. You're only cheating yourself when you lie.
  • Look for opportunities to move - walk, run, work out, play sports.
  • Consider weight training. It's an amazing motivator.
  • Make long-term maintenance your goal so you don't go off the rails when you hit your weight goal.
  • Don't get discouraged when people stop noticing your weight loss. It just means that they're used to the new you. Don't make THAT your goal.
  • EAT VEGGIES AND FRUITS and DRINK WATER. Make sure your calories are quality calories.

I better remember all of that, then, if I want a significant weight change in the coming days.

Anyway, happy holidays. Christmas was anticlimactic, as it has been in the last 7 years, but last year's was better. I'm actually happy that it really doesn't take a special public holiday for me & my brother to celebrate anything. If we want good food, for starters, we can always have some, regardless of any occasion. But I'll give him his presents tomorrow, & I'll be preparing more seriously now for New Year's.
